Nothing can be further from the truth. India today has become Islamic republic of India.Secularism means total independence of state and religion. In India it means just being pro-muslim. Anybody who knows anything about Indian politics today would know it for a fact that a "secular" party means a party which is against Hindu-Nationalists and would fight it tooth and nail to keep them away from power. Infact anybody who is sympathetic to the cause of Hindus/Sikhs is instantly dubbed as a "Right Wing Fanatic". However, these (pseudo) secularist find it decidedly convenient to hob-nob with the fundamental elements from the muslim community.UPA coalition which champions the cause of secularism in India has Muslim as one of its allies in Kerela !!! But ofcourse what else is secularism if not being pro-muslim?
Many of my friends and critics would accuse me of having a jaundiced vision ? I respect their views and am posting a few questions which I would like my "broad-minded & forward thinking" intellectual friends to answer. I would not censure any comments and would publish all.
Here are my questions:-
1. My first argument is based on two premises. a- India is a secular country and b- equality for its citizens. I can assume them to hold true given the fact that our constitution guarantees them.If these premises are true how come we have seperate rules for Jammu & Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir has a seperate constitution , a seperate flag and constitution. When all the other princely states and regions have been fully integrated into the Indian union, why this aberration? Is it a co-incidence that Kashmir is a muslim majority state?
2. Why did we never have a Hindu Chief Minister in J & K when we have had a muslim chief minister in most of the other states ? Does it mean that the muslims are not broad minded enough to vote for a Hindu/Sikh? Statistics proof that muslim majority disctricts vote in a muslim candidate a whopping 97% of times. A coincidence?
3. This one irks me the most. Muslims get hajj subsidy to visit Mecca. They are provided heavily subsidised air tickets, free accomodation in Mecca and the best of medical facilities there.All funded by the tax paid by the Hindu Majority. There is even a special Hajj Terminal at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi .There are Hajj commities in all major Indian cities so that the muslims do not have to bear the inconvenience of travelling to the Metroes for paperwork.
What does the Indian government do for the Hindus and Sikhs? Nothing!!! The government could provide the Amarnath Shrine committee with enough land and shamelessly bowed before the kashmiri muslims. Sample this. Hindus get no subsidy for kailash mansarovar pilgrimage. The trek to the holy lake is difficult and the terrain is trecherous. Indian government which provides the best medical facilities to the Indian muslims during Hajj and flies in highly trained doctors to ensure it , does not provide Hindus even the basic medical facilities.
3. Indian government wants to lift the ban on SIMI !!! Need I say more?
4. Why are all terrorists muslims? I would broaden the scope of this questions as Islamic terrorism is not limited to India but is a world wide malaise now. Why are we in denial ? What do we not admit that India is grappling with this when most other countries around the world have taken a cognizance of the situation ?
5. This should have been the very first question? Inspite of having an overwhelming Hindu Majority why is India a pro-muslim country. I have already established that it is not secular.
6. Why do we go that extra mile in accomodating muslims. There are millions of illegal bangladeshi muslims in all major cities of India. Yet the government does not throw them out because they are muslims. These bangladeshi muslims have been instrumental in most of the bomb blasts in the past couple of years.
7. A gurudwaara was razed to ground in Pakistan and temples were demolished in kazakhstan.Indian government didn’t even lodge a protest either in official forum or otherwise. However, the congress government was the among the first in the world to condemn the danish cartoons of the Mohammed in the strongest terms. And to think about it ,it wasnt even an Indian issue. I like whatever you have written. These questions should be answered by the authorities. J&K had to decide whether to merge with India or with Pakistan, the prince chose India and so India had to make them feel comfortable as hindus and muslims were enemies at that time. Yes we are overlooking many crimes and injustices by the muslims just because they are a minority but please dont have an extreme opinion that all muslims are bad. Their religion doesnot preach violence but is more vulnerable to becoming violent due to the circumstances. They have not been living in good condition for centuries. So i would CONCLUDE by saying : Dont have an extreme opinion on this
topic. If muslims are treating us badly in their state we have done no less. At the same time shouldnt bow down to the muslims in our own country. All the replys will be like not all muslims are terrorist( thats what all users will say). I would rather take points from your view and points from the views of those who want to treat muslims good and hence have an opinion which is quite fair.

I’m writing a Lie To Me/House/CSI: Miami crossover, and I need help working on the murder plot. So, what I have so far is that there’s this lady working in a supermarket. and she’s one of those people who cooks and hands out the free samples. Well, suddenly, people in Miami start falling ill and dropping dead of some mysterious illness, and have no connection to each other, save for their illness. I know that she’s putting something in the food to poison them, but I have no clue why or what the poison is. So here’s what I need help with.
1. What is she putting in the food? (Something that isn’t apparent until it’s almost too late…I think I read something about insecticide or some kind of chemical? Or ground up glass?)
2. Why is she doing what she’s doing? There’s got to be something deeply rooted in her past, something that’s making her do what she’s doing now.
3. I need other people to kind of know things about it? Idk.

so shes poising these people because in her past she saw her mother poisin her father, her father had cheated on her mother and the mother found out, but instead of telling him she deciedd to get back at him, she slipped poisin into her husvands drink, and the girl, tho one poising people now, saw the mother do this but didnt understand at the tim, so shes poising these people because she feels it will ease the pain of losing her father because of her mother. unfortunley the mother was never caught, she was never discovered that she killed her husband, and if her daughter told anyone about her doing it she would be taken to prison and there would be no one to take care of her

A guy friend of mine has been Methadone Free (YAY) for one year this month. He was on 180mg liquid for over five years and he quit cold turkey last July, went through the horrific physical and even worse the mental withdrawals of the drug. Since then, he has been drug free. No one told him to do it, he said he did it because he wanted to and he was tired of depending on a drug to determine what kind of day it was going to be. Anyway, it has been a year and the diarhea has not stopped. It isn’t ‘as bad’ as it was, but it is very much present as well as daily stomach cramps. Any ideas about the length of time this is supposed to continue? Seems like it would have all stopped. Oh, and for anyone who thinks it could be something else medical…he has had a colonoscopy and EGD, samples of this and that from his body, blood work and more blood work etc etc etc…The only thing that was out of the norm was a hernia which most of the world has. Any ideas from someone who has been there or knows someone who has been there? Just looking for some hope on this one. I have no idea how to help him and if the doc’s cant seem to stop the symptoms …what’s next? He didn’t want to go on suboxone in that he thought it was just another gateway to addiction.
Methadone, from my experience, a synthetic opioid, used to ease heroin and other opiate addicts from dealing with the withdrawal symptoms of opiates, can actually be harder to quit then the original drug of choice.
Many methadone users have worst withdrawals from methadone than they did before. The deal with methadone is that it is stays in one’s system longer than heroin, morphine, Oxycontin, Fentanyl( unless transdermal) so the opioid receptors have longer to bond with the opioid. Watching someone go through with WD of Methadone can be worst than watching a heroin addict WD.
Since it acts like this, the withdrawal symptoms can last longer than any other opiate, other than Suboxone( which I would NEVER suggest to anyone, nor Methadone either) it can last months, to a year. That is why with managed methadone treatment, they detox a patient to 1 to 2 mg a day. However, since he wanted to quit(kudos to him!!) he will have complications for awhile longer. Having his speak to a doctor would be a good thing, but, as a recovering addict myself, I would not take Suboxone, it is just subbing one drug for another.
Methadone, for those with real determination, may work for addicts trying to get their lives back together, but, to me, it is just high risk. My problem was, when I was getting off OC’s and Fentanyl, I liked the Done’ better, goes back and forth, why I say do not use the Suboxone. I wish him and you the best, and I hope he stays clean!!!

I adopted a cat from aspca, i was given a free exam and 14 days of free medical.. The vet hardly even looked at my cat and took a fecal sample, she told me she would call me next day for results, i wait all day, she doesnt call till day after telling me he has Giardia-parasite. I pick up the med-panacur,, by day 2 of the med his poop became pure liquid- she gave me the name of the weekend vet if i had questions. He called me back explaing that if by day 5 of treatment the poop does not look normal the vet may put him on a diff med, he tells me to call my vet on day 5.
I leave a message in the morning saying Im not sure if he is getting better because the poop does not look normal, he has gas, i need to make an appt with a groomer for the bath if i do need to give it today, let me know..
She never called back, i call again the next day leave a message, i call back in the afternoon and was told shes at lunch, i leave a message, i call back at night and demand to talk to her, the receptionist tells me he asked her my question and she says to keep giving him the instructions she told me, i explain what the other doctor told me. he tells me she wont come to the phone.
I ask for another vet who can hear my concerns, i am told there are no vets availabel and no one can help you.
I call the adoption center and tell them what happened. They call the vet and are told by reception she is in emergency surgery and thats why she never called me and she would call me that night. I simply said can a another vet just call me about my questions, was told "NO"
She never called and still has not called me today….
Anyone feel this is wrong and what should i do?
on day 5 of treatment i was supposed to give him a bath, i waited the entire day for her to call me, she never did, I waited again the entire day the next day-she never called again. So i just took him to the groomer without even knowing if he should be put on the other med, because the vet refuses to talk to me.
ASPCA has about 20 vets on staff, and i was told no one can advise me about the medication, i did adopt a cat from them which has giardia at the time. i feel this is wrong.
try to get why by himself,surely there is a reason,
